Comenty stuck, not getting CLI's anymore.

So, I've tried my Barney's, Sportsman's Guide and Overstock, no go. The robot lady at Barney's referred me to call the office. SG and Overstock were declined on the spot. What do those cards have in common? Lack of use. So, my theory on this is that I need to make some purchases and payments. I just ordered some new Rayban's at Barney's, charged some gas on my SG and will look for something I can use at Overstock, as Christmas is soon coming and that might be a good place to shop for some gifts.

What are your current limits on these cards and when was your last cli? How old are the accounts?

Dw and I went months with no cli on Overstock and last month she got $300 raising her to $550, and I got $400 raising me to $1100. I can't find anything I want to buy on there.

Barney's $15k, 5 months old, Overstock $3.6k, 6 mos old, Sportsman's Guide Visa $2.5k and 6 months old. I got monthly $300 CLI's from Overstock for two months, then nothing.

Re: Comenty stuck, not getting CLI's anymore.

It's my belief that Comenity has revamped their system.  I have several accounts with them and each time I sign on, I get a pop up on how they have changed there system and invites me to view the changes.  I decline and go into my account.  I'm still able to get increases on most of my Comenity accounts but Barneys and Bon Ton has close down for me. I do love Barneys and make purchases almost monthly, so I know it is it not a lack of usage. Sometimes I PIF and I have left a extremely small balance ( the APR is outrageous).  My utilization is 6%, scores are better than ever, DTI is excellent and income is definitely not an issue.  I'm over 20K on each CL and while I will try for a CLI as I normally do, I really don't sweat it.  Onward and Upward!

Sportsmans Guide took 9 months for me to get a CLI. For a long time each card had its own wait time for CLI, but the rules may have changed.

Wait till around your closing date in December on Barney's. The overall impact of a cli there would be higher than on Overstock.

How much did Barney's start you at?  Did you get to $15,000 on one phone call or over several months?

Barney's started with a $1.5k SL, then I called and got it to $5k in 500 increments. 2 months ago I got it up to it's present 15K in $1000 increments.

It's not  the pop up about the system changes, once you enter your account and press the request for a credit line increase, a side screen appears (new) and it will allow you enter your information or it will be a big bright red message (new) that indicates you are not eligible for a increase.   I know Comenity had to look at the number of ding letters that they were sending  out per day, must have cost them a small fortune in paper and postage alone! These are new features unless they have created them just for my many accounts with them, lol!  And I don't think so.  😬😬
