I disagree. (Not to hijack the thread.) AMEX has saved me on several occasions (not to mention the rewards). I ordered something last week online, paid with my AMEX, and shipped via FedEx. It was shipped and left at my front door, but somebody took it! I called AMEX and they said no problem, and they refunded the purchase. Lots to love with AMEX.

Heres my NASA story... I also got caught up with the whirlwind apps and applied for membership on 9/22. They then asked me for id and a utility bill which i uploaded. During the wait i started the cc app but saved it and did not submit it because of the whole soft pull idea. Two days later they replied asking for ANOTHER bill and my W2. At this point I was over it, i wasnt asking for a loan I merely wanted to become a member. I deleted all correspondence and walked back to the garden. Now minutes ago i received an approval email.... I was approved for 30k @10.99. I dont know whats going on!

I am not the most patient  person in the world sometimes.  After being approved for my NASA card,  having it funded and it showing on my accounts several days ago,  nothing is showing up  on any of  my reports yet.  I just want to know what damage it will have on  my 800 scores.

I was approved on 09/23 but it's still not showing as a new account.  For me it should raise my score, b/c it will increase my average CC CL above $2k.  I haven't gotten the card yet either.  They approved me for an autirefi of 3.19% APR.  I app'd on 09/24 & received the success email 09/29.  They really like me.

Congrats again on the auto loan.  I know it takes time,  but waiting can be a bear sometimes.

I may try again but if I'm buying a house soon, that may have to wait
