Costco Amex

It's been so long since I've last posted. My credit files got to a point where I've been instantly approved for everything I've applied for.

EXCEPT a CLI for my Amex Costco.  When they issued it to me, it came with a 5k limit and it was increased to 10k.  Last year I requested an increase to 12.5k and was declined.

I've closed 80k in Cards/CL over the past year or so as I just had WAY to much open credit and WAY too many cards to manage.

Was just sitting here and thought...what the heck.  What's the worse that could happen.  I requested an increase to 15k and was instantly approved!

Now I only wish I had requested 20k (though I think I remember reading on here that once you get to a certain limit w/ Amex, they'll request statements for a review)

Either way, just stopping by.  Stay strong on your credit rebuilds as it wasn't but 2-3 years ago I couldn't get a pre-paid card.

Did you get the letter from Costco about the change in credit cards and that we probably won't have to apply for the new card?

I did!  They said most would not have to reapply. I have a Citibank card presently, so I think I'll be good to go when they issue their new card sometime after April.
