I approved from my Costco Visa after the five year mark of my chapter 7 discharge. I only use for my Costco purchases and when I buy gas at Costco.

You get the 4% on gas, even if you're not buying gas at Costco. I think 7 Eleven even codes as gas.
@CreditCobra, I use my Sam's MC for gas since I get 5% everywhere else I get gas. The last couple of times I tried using my Sam's MC at Costco for gas, I only got 1% cash back. When I max out on the Sam's card, I use my Redstone Signature Visa where I get 5% cash back.

Sounds like you've got it covered!

This is interesting, because I thought the Visa only policy at Costco extended to their gas pumps? I know MasterCard and Discover are accepted by them online.
I think as of January 2024 Discover is no longer accepted at Costco.com
Totally agree. I belong to BJ's Wholesale, no waiting.
I had a citibank chargeoff in Mar 2021. My current Experian score is 720. I am waiting for Mar 2025 or Mar 2026 to apply for Citibank Costco
While I mainly use the AAA Everyday card for the 3 percent reward at Costco and limit my use of the Costco card to gas purchases, I found that the AAA card only gave me a 1 percent rebate at the third party optician in Costco. (Even though the charge came through as Costco. Likely a different merchant code.). Thus, I also use the Costco card when I purchase glasses for the 2 percent rebate.

Generally I use my Venmo Visa for 3% at Costco (not counting the optician). It's basically my 'Costco only' card.
Costco card always seemed pretty weak to me. It's good for gas but that's really it. Has a lower CB rate at its own store than some other non costco-branded cards, like the AAA, Venmo, Robinhood Gold, or BofA Custom Cash w min deposit. And the SUB being a $5 Kirkland soft-cooler is just insulting IMO. They need to at least increase the CB rate to 3%.
