Well, no letter and I applied last Saturday. I called again and CS said my app was being reviewed which was a surprise because the last person I talked to told me a letter was mailed on the 16th or maybe it was the 17th, either way, it should have been here by now I would think.
I scored getting my car loan through the credit union so I applied for the Visa Platinum Dividend through the same credit union. I thought I was denied but about three weeks later I got my card in the mail. My thinking is that it takes longer for them to make your card vs sending you a denial letter, therefore I am feeling hopefull that I have not received anything yet....this could mean they are making the card ( its possible )
The lady I spoke with today was much more informative. I asked her about my inquires due to shopping for my home loan and car loan. She said when they look at these under a review they see that you were looking for a home loan and will look to see if you got the new account, therefore, she said they will usually just group that into just one inquery. I know the car & home are new ( year in May ) but I actually have over half the car paid off. I saved some money, I just had to have a Challenger. I always pay extra towards the car when I can and make bi-weekly mortgage payments.

I read where someone got thier C&B card in the mail four weeks later -- after the 7-10 day message.
Is there anyway to get an answer over the phone ?? Or if I go into the store , have you read or heard of anyone getting any information about their application there ?
But then again, they told you over the phone.... They won't tell me anything.
It is so weird how this gets in your mind & gets stuck there.
