Hello everyone.... I was watching a Youtube video on a Web Bank card called Credit Stacks. In the video at first you don't need a Social Security card (This video is from Credit Plug). This card is not for me. I used Web Bank before. In their file they have Fingerhut, Dell, Avant, etc. I do a lot of research on things of credit. Thank you for your help.
Is there a question here?
Yes I want to know what everyones' opinion about this credit card. You can get this without a Social Security card, at first. Within 60 days you must prove you have SS.
If you have to provide it anyway, what's the significance of 60 days?
From their site:
More than just a credit card, CreditStacks helps you build credit from scratch. Innovative auto payment options, credit tips via app and email, and prompt reporting of your credit activity to the credit bureau Equifax are just some ways we make credit building efficient and hassle-free. We are working hard to report to the other credit bureaus as well.
It only reports to EQ. Hundreds of other cards that will report to all 3 CRA's. Pass.
CreditStacks was my first card upon moving to the US. As someone starting out with credit, you probably won't find a better starting limit than what CreditStacks offers. No annual fees and no foreign transaction fees are also positives. It isn't that good for building credit history though as they only report to Equifax.
Think its a product similar to Deserve in attempting to give folks who are are from abroad but working in the US time to establish, but have a credit card that can be used for establishing credit... Although with only reporting to one CRA if i read the previous posts right is a bit counterproductive... For that.. it somewhat makes a bit of a sense..

I have it.
5K Credit Limit.
It was my first card when I first came to the US 9 months ago. I got the card 6 months ago, no previous credit history.
I got that, along with a WF Secured, a Cap1 Secured and a Disco Secured.
Helps building Equifax score. Unfortunately they don't report to EX or TU but they are actively working to do so in the future, retroactively.
In just 6 months (5 statements) I managed to:
- graduate my Wells Fargo card
- get an unsecured CLI on my secured Capital One
- get an AA Aviator Card from Barclay
- get a Delta Reserve from Amex
- get a Plum card also from Amex
Apparently spoke too soon. My Creditstacks account just showed up on my TU!
Same here, but with wrong information on it....
