Sorry if this was ask before but can you apply to a Credit Union CC without membership? If approve, can you just keep their CC without membership? Also, If you get approve for a CC and they ask you to join and you're not in their area, do they cancel your CC application?

Credit Unions require you to be a member.
Some credit unions will allow you to apply for credit products before becoming a member, some require membership first.
To me it doesn't make sense to apply for credit with a credit union before becoming a member. There will be a hard pull for your credit product and if denied membership for whatever reason (which can happen) you won't receive the credit product you applied for wasting the hard pull.
Your membership in a credit union makes you a partial owner; only members are allowed any banking services/ products offered.
