So I got some offers on chase credit journey, some really good offers. It's really hard for me to resist right now. I'm just a bit confused though because I won't be within 5/24 until October. I do kinda have a positive relationship with chase. I'm an authorized user on a chase card for the last 15 years. The account has never missed a payment. The account holder has had the card for 32 years. So I dunno, what do u guys think? When they do an official pull will they see I'm not 5/24 and deny me? You'd think they'd already know that. It's very very tempting, I don't want to waste an inquiry though
What is the wording on the offers?
Chase pre-approvals have lots of DP where people have been approved despite being over 5/24. Personally I have been approved after having a pre-approval offer and I was at 7/24.
If you are able to swing by a branch that would be the most reliable way to tell if you're actually good to pull the trigger or not. Like was mentioned, a lot of people can bypass 5/24 via the black/green star offers on the website, however the best way to really know your odds of approval would be to have them check in branch. Those are their most reliable pre-approval checks.

See that's why I love this forum, it gives me ideas that I wasn't aware of. So I can actually go in a chase branch (there is one right around the corner from me) and they can verify whether I will be approved or not without spending an inquiry?

Yes. Speak to a rep and ask them if you have any preapproval offers.
Depending on which card you are looking at, sometimes the in-branch promotions are a bit sweeter than the online version so you might want to do a bit of research here on the card you're thinking of applying for. Of, if the online version is better ask if they can match it with a in-branch app.
