Hello,
I just received a pre selected offer from Regions for the Cash Rewards Credit Card with a $300 cash rewards bonus when your net purchases total $1,000 in the first 90 days, 18 billing cycles 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers and after that 13.99%. Seems like an amazing offer. I dont really need another credit card but it seems to good to pass.
Do you know what they pull in FL and if it would be a hard or soft inquiry? With pre selected offers are they usually approvals or have you seen denials as well?
Thanks!
That's one seriously nice offer
Since you're in Florida, have you considered MIDFLORIDA's 2.5% back credit card? It's fully loaded with benefits and therefore arguably worth getting even if you already have the AOD card.
If you're a Tegions customer already, why not? I'm not sure if they're relationship heavy like banks though.

Pre-selected is generally marketing and is no where near a guarantee. Pre-approved isn't either, but it's the next step up that ladder. I would seriously consider your chance of approval based on previous success here on myfico. I'm sorry, maybe Regions is more selective, but in my experiance pre-selected is just a way to get a potential customer to open/read and hopefully apply for your card. (Keep those hard inquiries close to the belt. Trust me, using them up (unless it's a sure thing) is not a good idea.) ![]()
Either way, good luck and keep pushing!
I received the same offer (not a customer). The preapproval page does not work for non-customers now so I was curious if they would provide the starting limit before accepting. I went through the application process up until employer info. I then received an error message--"unable to proceed with your online application". I was given a number to call or asked to visit a branch. I guess it was a website glitch and I did not receive an alert for a hp. Even though it is a generous bonus, I will not pursue it as I really do not need it.

For Regions' customers, if a pre-approved offer is available, it will display the limit. Usually, Regions pre-approved offers are fairly solid. The pre-selected ones are simply marketing. That said, with the right profile, a pre-selected offer could result in an approval.
