Just tried their pre-qual and got a flat denial, and one of the reason was "The date you opened your oldest account is too recent."
How can they make up a stupid reason like that ![]()
They don't like me either (not that I care even a little bit) but I admit I use their prequal site to get a free credit score every now and then.

That score is not a FICO I think.

It's not and it is like 30-40 points different every time I check, but it's still fun to see what they spit out.
Here's what's in my most recent denial:

Here's what's in my most recent denial:
- Lack sufficient real estate account information
- The number of inquiries was also a factor, but the effect was not significant
REAL ESTATE?! REALLY!?!?! ROFLMAO
Not sure how many of their customers have real estate...

It's definitely not. My score on Credit One is 87 points lower than my lowest fico.
I know of two people....![]()
Credit One is one of the more predatory credit cards, up there with First Premier. I read Terms and Conditions, (and had First Premier for 5 years) and the subprime cards are much more horrendous than the average Prime Card T and C list. Like FP, it is engineered to make a fast buck on a New To You credit card. It comes with a stack of fees plugged in you wont normally pay with a Prime Card, which cause alot of people, that would not normally flounder, to do so. Move on, save yourself the possibility of future delinquency on your reports, you can do better going with Finger Hut or one of the Comenity bank cards (they have a huge list). Good Luck.
