Boyfriend applied for his first credit card yesterday. He has always been anti-credit. He is AU on most of my accounts, including Discover. They asked him to upload a proof of residence and identity, which he did with utility bill and SS card. Does this seem like an approval or denial? I would hate for him to be denied on his first application. I think it would make him even more anti-credit than he already is.

Thats probably a good sign. I had to do the same. But I didnt have the patience to wait so called in to make sure they received the docs and got approved after a couple questions.
That is good. I don't know what his true FICOs are. CK says 694 (or maybe it was 697?) on both. Maybe his small history as AU on my cards will help.

Update: he was approved with a $6,500 starting limit. I am a little jealous of that.
Well congrats to him!
