Hey wasn't your handle GAustin this morning? Hmmmm. Why didn't you call some bankers at DCU to at least setup a staggered CD ladder with a custom rate. Man, you need private banking. 😀

Re: DCU VISA PLATINUM STORY

Most banks will not take an eight figure check unless you go into their designated regional acceptance “branch.”

Not saying if the story is true or not, but if it is, you are displaying behavior of money laundering. Most established, wealthy people are not going to park eight figures into a mostly online wonky website credit union.

Re: DCU VISA PLATINUM STORY

"So I was declined. So I called Equifax, my score currently:

720"

Funny little story. Just 2 weeks ago, I called Equifax. I wanted to give them my credit card over the phone and I wanted to purchase my FICO score. I was told by the supervisor that they dont sell FICO scores over the phone.

ISNT THAT A HOOT !!!

WHO'DA THUNK IT !!

Re: DCU VISA PLATINUM STORY

Why would I set up a cd. If I already have several set up with banks. People keep talking about money laundering......I you put more than 10K in the bank they are going to contact the IRS......once its being verified that Im transferring from one account to another.........I own both accounts.......If you have several cds why would you lock more money in a cd for x amount of years..........well, maybe cause he doesn't need a cd.......maybe he did for leverage.......so I walk into DCU and wanted my money in cash......are you telling me they would not give me my money..........yes it would take a couple of days for them and I would get a call but I would still get cash.....or they will ask do you want a cashier check it will be faster and I could leave that day with a check and no waiting period.........

money laundering is when they can't verify where you funds originated from. meaning you obtain these funds through illegal activities, based on the irs report of the individual. thats like you going to purchase a million dollar house and you work at Burger King. Law enforcement will then pursue your day to day activities, because you are doing something illegal, if you didn't win the lottery or inherited wealth from a decease relative

I can really care less who he is. I wouldnt deal with that much dough online unless I know how a bank works. I can take the 8 figures off his hand if needed. Back to work for me. Smiley Happy

number 2 it how I did it, since it's on your mind.......you can sit back and collect check and do nothing, but eventually you will need to create something new.....

and how it works. create a patent. prototype it and the company you licensing it to...will mass produce and put it on the market......all you did. was a great idea, patent it, and then license it or sell it......

now your mind can be at ease. it was just a story that happen to me that pissed me off.......that's it
