I applied on behalf of my DW for a CC through DCU (we are both rebuilding, equal scores but she has less baddies) today she recieved an email from them stating something to the effect of "thankyou for applying for a DCU VIsa, we have made a decision on your account, please call us at XXXXXXXXXX and provide us application number XXXXXXX. I assume if it was a rejection they would not have her call, it is a bit of a pain because this office has limited hours so us west coasters get less access after we get home from work. She is planning on calling late tomorrow, any thoughts on what is likely to happen or suggestions??
If it was not an instant denial then is it a verification issue. They probably want to make sure she applied for the card. All the best and let us know the end results.
Try calling first thing in the morning. It will almost be lunch time here 😎
Their customer service is pretty quick to get in touch with in my experience so the call likely won't take to long. Sounds like an approval to me. They may just want some income verification or something like that. I had to email in pay stubs when I was approved. Good luck!
Very odd, DCU sends a message to call them which makes us all assume they are just trying to confirm identity or income and they tell my wife "thanks for calling we just wanted you to know we declined your application". Waste of time and not a very nice way to decline a credit app, I would prefer a simple email saying your declined and you'll get a letter in a few days like every other creditor does. Weird.
