So I've been seeing some data points that Chase has been ignoring the 5/24 rule for the Sapphire Reserve. I know that Chase often also does this with their Amazon Prime Visa card and it wouldn't surprise me if they did ignore the 5/24 for the CSR especially for prime customers. Does anyone else have any more info on this? I fall below 5/24 August 2026 and my next card on my roadmap is the CSR so it would be nice to be able to get my hands on the card before August.
I havent really noticed Chase not adhering to its 5/24 but for the Prime. Can you link a few examples?

No supporting information either unless have a green checkmark is only way i know how to get around 5/24 other than amazon card. Might be a few outliers that got by it somehow but not the normal

Green checkmark? What is this of which you speak?

An offer / pre-approval bypassing 5/24 in offers section or possibly in branch having a banker check if any pre-approved offers on your account at Chase branch.

Am I correct in assuming this is for Chase users on their app?

APP or Website I don't personally use apps but assume all the same. Can do a search on forum and look at chase pre-approvals and find tons of posts of screen shots with green or black pre-approval check mark or already approved etc. Various versions of this
5/24 has never really been an official thing anyway. Plus, most people should never approach that limit. But interesting to have more data on that for sure!
My own DP - I applied back in July when I was at 5/24 - denied. Applied in November when I was 4/24 - approved.
