Hey guys,
Thank you for all of the great advice so far. I was just approved or a Chase Disney yesterday for $10k. It's very exciting. The reason I want one more card, however, is I want a 0% apr promo card, esp. with Balance transfer. My concern though is I am not sure if I should hold off for 3-6 months.
Relevant Info:
Previously approved for $18k loan from Discover
Chase approval
No other new accounts
Thin File: 1 Cap 1 at around 2 years, one other card for near 9. No previous installments/other active accounts.
3 Recent EXP inquiries, fico is today at 757. T.U was 750+ Yesterday before it was also hit by Chase. Likely at around 740. EQ is never touched, of course, as it has a near 780. Bleh.
Income 90K / Util per card < 3% and total 3%
So the concern is my 2 new accounts do not show so I am still 'low account' risk. I don't want an app spree. I was wondering if Chase would be able to use my file for 30 days from the disney app to review if I can be approved for a basic Freedom card, so I can have a fair balance and possibly a 0% apr promo if offered. I also know Discover has them as well. Concern is I have 3 recent inq hits (3 fall off from 2 years ago in 90 days) but I also know my loan will hit in 2 months and my score could lower.
Not sure how to approach getting that one last card, whether it's an Amex (experian pull) BCE, Discover IT/Miles or another chase. If you were in my position, knowing this is the last one, what would you do? I was consdering Penfed, too, but I worry they are too conservative and I will be the first person in history to not have EQ pulled as all lenders hate my high score EQ
Thank you for your time.

Congratulations on your approval. I believe your options are great. If you're looking for good 0 apr promotions, then the AMEX BCE and Chase FU are great choices, if you are also looking for cards that will grow with you in the process. I think these are two great cards to have. Discover is a bit more conservative with their UW, but then again, your scores and income are great so I think you can definitely get an approval with any of these cards. All three offer the same with 0% APR's and well laid out Cashback rewards programs. Good luck in making your decision.
Thank you for this. BCE is tempting and I wonder, based on your Freedom suggestion, if Chase offers a chance to determine if I'd qualify based on the recent app. I cannot quite tell from the searches I've performed on this board and elsewhere. Interestingly enough, I went to Penfed to see what they think fo me, primarily because I want to eventually get them to approve a loan at a lower rate than my current one so I can pay it off / refinance. Basically just get in the door.
The rewards visa was $20.5 k approval but 11% apr - even though it offered 0% promo to 'credit worthy'. This made me realize, I don't think i am going to get a 0%. Wondering if I should hold off on BCE or at least apply just to get into amex and maybe over time one of them or Chase can P.C me into a 0% card at some point.
