No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
The Freedom Unlimited and Freedom are both good choices if you'd like one of the Sapphire cards in the future. Simply bank the points in the meantime until you can move them over.
Chase really likes to see a year of history. Those who are approved with less than that are fairly rare exceptions. I'd go for the card during month thirteen of your history. I'd also hold off on applying for any other cards, partly because of 5/24 and partly because they're sensitive to recently opened accounts.
In the meantime, go ahead and recon as much as you'd like. Maybe there's still a chance that you'll get lucky on this app.
Didn't read the rest of the replies .Not sure if anyone told you this but chase likes a year of credit history .So id wait til your accounts are a year old not just 6 months. You already took the HP so you need to call and ask for reconsideration .But if it fails I wouldnt apply until you have a year of history .

OK, I have to ask:
How do you eat? Are you one of the lucky few that gets to eat at work for free?
