Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Most likely hard decline.
Think of why they would decline you? Low scores? Derogs? Burned their parent bank in a BK?
I am trying to use this approach when Apping for new cards.
Sometime you just have to wait for the letter and then call them.
I think your chances would have been better for the store card with those scores.
Call the automated line and see what it says. Two weeks is usually a good sign and 7 to 10 days could be a denial but neither one of those is set in stone. If it's not an instant approval you may see the within 10 days but up to 30 days message come up. Below is from my Disney Premier app and I called in about an hour later to the automated system and it gave me the two weeks message and about a week later it was approved.
This is normal as a few others have stated.. My recent Ritz approval had a very similiar need more time to review at appllication followed by email of 30 days. What gives it away if the phone system usually. 7-10 days by automated phone system is usually denied and 2 week or 30 day by automated status line is a good thing. Best of luck!
I'm a 640's. Got 30 day message for United Explorer. 7 days later, Chase called me. Didn't answer. Auto line said 7-10 days. Called Backdoor number. It was Verification from the fraud department and I was approved after series of questions, blood sample and goat sacrifice.
Wait it out.
Ta80...tell me you got the Darth Vader card. Let me live vicariously.
