Yep this is common with amex. Try again exactly at 30 days mark. not sure if you are already amex member. if so sp for denial. if not. hp each time you try. I think i would give it more than 30 days. i would wait minimum 3 months before trying again as all those apps will stay in Amex's system. something they are not liking. I did not see your stats so im not sure.

Yeah I won't be applying until next year. I really don't need the card right now, just wanted it. I'm going to garden . I'm happy with and will work with what I have. Thank you guys! :-)

Which card are you going to apply for? ED or Delta Gold?

With either card, in AMEX's policy, you only get the sign up bonus once, ever, for each card. So while you wait, if you are interested in the Delta Gold card, one step you can try is to sign up for a Delta SkyMiles account. This will get you on their radar, even if you don't actually fly anywhere, and might result in a miles offer to apply for the CC. No certainty it will lead to such an offer, but others have gotten good email or mail offers, 50k miles or 60k miles.

Also keep an eye out for the ED points offer. It's 10,000 MR points now, has been 20,000 and sometimes (rarely) 25,000 MR points. Putting those on your list of criteria may help keep you waiting for the absolute best offer.
