Chase recon is alive and well.
If recon fails, it's not because it doesn't exist, its because analysts concurred with algorithm's decision to deny.

Can confirm with datapoint. Yesterday friend did recon on CSR denial with a 810 EX FICO 08 at 3/24 with plenty of income to bring to the table. Took roughly an hour with questions and reviews galore and she still had to shuffle limits around with her Chase cards to get the approval. If Chase likes you enough and you pass inspection they'll let you have the cards
That's not a recon. It means you were declined pending additional information. They didn't reconsider your application, they just couldn't approve it until they had supplemental information.
Only the business side has recon.
I base my saying "recon does not exist" on my employment with the company. Not because I was denied recon or it failed...

Personal side has reconsideration. Happens quite often and the data points are shown weekly on various threads across different platforms.
