Apped and got a Discover IT today with a really nice limit, but got shot down for the BofA Travel card... looking to call them in the AM and see why. Lowest score is 712 others are in mid 700's.
Do they black list people? I'm trying to remember if my first credit card from when I was 18 was with them because that one went to collections. This is almost 20 years ago.
I had to call twice. The first lady didn't want to help me at all. The second woman was very relaxed and was going over why I was denied. I let her know I wanted to build a relationship with them and as she could see my utilization is at 1% with the current credit I have... I was denied initially because I had too many pulls (6) this past year and my 60-day late payment with Cap1 from 2011 is still hanging on with Experian... Trans and Equafax dropped it. I asked her my score with Experian and she said 726. I laughed and said, "You're denying me with a 726? That's my lowest of the three." That's when she put in for a Recon and about an hour later I got a call and... BOOM!!! 3.5K Travel Rewards Card with BofA is in the mail.
Wasn't going to let that slide especially with my scores now, lol.

I agree... but tbh I thought I was gonna get 2.5K
I'm cool with it though, I just hit the triple button on my Amex and got my Discover IT with a pretty healthy limit, so I'm fine.
Now I gotta read the forums and see how BofA works with their cards.
