I applied for the Delta Good Amex back in the beginning of Aug with a EX of 594 ( I know too low for Amex but tried anyway) and was denied. Reasons were low credit score, limited credit and blah blah reasons. I just applied again last week since my score has increased 40 points since then and now the denial reason was just low score and nothing else. Its still a denial but it seems a few more months and I may be in.

Sorry to hear. But you are doing yourself more harm than good in your quest to get the card. You are racking up hardpulls for nothing. The credit game is all about patience and strategy.
I suggest you wait a while until your profile improves considerably so that you have a higher chance of approval.
Stop applying every few months with them. You're hurting yourself more. Wait till your EX scores are at least 670+ and wait at least 6months-1yr before reapplying. Your odds of approval will go up tremendeously if you just wait it out awhile longer.
Uh, thanks for the advice, but I'm not a a quest to get any card. And I didnt say I was going to keep applying in the months to come til I get it. I was just stating that after 3 months and gaining 40 pts. I decided to give it another shot. I may or may not try again in 3, 6, 9 or longer. I understand waiting will help more. Have a nice day guys.

40 pts in 3 months is awesome! I probably would have tried too, excpet I burned them, so I, technically not eilgible again for 2 1/2 more years to reapply. If you want to try every 3 months, great! Hope you eventually get it! I personally tried for Discover many times, and on my 5th attempt they finnaly felt sorry for me and let me in! We were just trying to save you unnecessary HP's and possible denials. Have a great day!

I agree.
EX inquiries are precious, don't blow them trying for a wing and a prayer. And I say this as someone who started my rebuild with a 575 EX.
Borderline AMEX approvals mean crappy $1,000 credit lines. "Getting in the door" is one of the dumbest things I read on these forums. Wait until you're in the 680+ range and kick that door IN, it's worth the patience.

+1000
Amen... Thank you,,,it is all for the best
I am so glad I listened when folks told me to wait so I wouldn't have 20%+apr.
Me too. All of my cards have APRs less than 18% (lowest is 9.24%) except Capital One, which was my first rebuilding card. More importantly than the APR is the initial SL though. If you wait and do your due diligence in terms of cleaning your reports, you can start with good limits. That means less having to beg for CLIs constantly and not worrying about util if a balance reports on a card.
We're not trying to give you a hard time OP, it's advice from people who have likely been in your shoes. Good luck with continuing to get those scores up.
