I want to apply for the secured card to see what will happen... when I do the pre qualify.... it recommends a card I know I will not be approved for... Just got Cap One QS and Platinum with 500 cl... what are the chances an approval will come with BoA....
Thank you will do!!
Boa secured card is good and the 99/500 deal is even better. The card does graduate, they usually will remove the annual fee for you after it graduates and have them give you a credit limit increase. Adding additional funds to the card requires them to do a hard pull. I wasted a lot of pulls back in the day adding money to it lol.
Id take the offer. Good in for Bank of America.
@Anonymous wrote:yes I did , I have currently 2 Chase with $15k , 2 Cap one $10K AE $1K and Barclays $8500 , that is why I just did'nt jump on the offer , but if you feel this is something I should do , I will jump on it , this is the first offer they have sent me for it
I would accept. Remember they are not really looking at what you have with some one else. Only your relationiship with them. It will grow after about 12 months so i would take it just to be in. Personally ive yet to apply to BOA and don't plan to do so any time soon as i remember their NCNB Days. Yikes!!!
My BOA 99/500 just unsecured without me doing anything at around the 8 month mark, no cli though so I am wating for my lower utilation to report then I am requesting a cli.
Smart move OP! Good card and it will get your foot in the door. Cash Rewards is one of my favorite cards and I use it daily!

IMO, yes, I would accept it if you are considering a BOA lending relationship. Did you get the partially secured 99/500 offer?
I totally agree!
My first card with them was secured then eight months later a 1500 increase and unsecured and yearly fee waived because of my good use of the card.
