Denied product upgrade on Capital One QS1

Hey guys,

Have had a QS1 for about 18 months. Has a $500 CL and is practically useless. Called today to see if I had a product upgrade and was denied. From what I read on here it seemed to be easy to get product upgraded out of this sinkhole of a card. The guy had 0 reasoning for the denial. 

My avg credit across all 3 beureaus is 735. 10% utilization, 2 years AAoC. I only have two other cards a Disco - $2300 and a CSP -$5000.

my question is do I tell them to kick rocks and cancel it or hold out to 2054 when they give me a credit line increase or a product change. Although the $39 annual fee doesn't hurt it's annoying to give anything to a company that's done nothing for me.

The QS1 is the harder card to product change. You can ask for a courtesy annual fee waiver once it post on your account. The CSR have that ability to waive it.

It's a good card to have if you're building your credit profile. You just have put spend on it and see if there is product upgrade available in the future. Hopefully, before 2054.

You can go to their website it has an upgrade option if 1 is available to you. That is how I upgraded my cap 1 platinum Mc to a QS card. I had already had a QS card and it was upgraded to the venture 1 card. Hope this helps.
