Did my App Spree, here are the results. Next steps?

So after gardening for 2 years, I couldn't hold out and did an app spree (I want more availible credit).

Initial findings from what I wanted most, to least:

Chase Sapphire Premium: 7-10 day notice

American Express Everyday Preferred: Approved $4,000

Citi DoubleCash: Denied Outright

Barclays Cash Forward: Pending, 10 day notice

Discover It: Approved $6,500

A little disappointing as I really wanted the CSP. I thought I would do better as my credit scores are above 750 on all CRAs, but I do have a decent amount in student loans on that installment, compared to my dinky $2000 limit on my one secured CC.

What should I do about the notices and the denial, do I call for Recon, or what? I've not really done this before. Should I just accept this fate and garden again? I mean, getting a $10,500 CL in 30 minutes was pretty cool.

Thanks!

Id call barcalys up and recon with them. Id let the CSP app ride out. You could get that card approved still. did you call the auto status line and see what the message says on the CSP?

Called the automated line and it said the same thing "Will be notified within 7-10 business days".

Should I not ride out the Barclays 7-10 decision?

What about Citi? I didn't expect and outright denial.

No, there's really a difference between Chase and Barclays in terms of recon.

Many of us have had some good results from Barclays recon.

Many people have reported that Chase is tricky, and it's best not to jerk their chain when they give you the 7-10 notice.

7-10 days isn't always a bad sign. I got the same message when applying for Freedom card. Waited a couple days and called in, was told they needed to verify information, and I was approved on the spot. Hoping this is the case for you. Best of luck! Hope to have a CSP next year too Smiley Happy

Reconned Barclays, got approved. Even doubled the Credit Limit to $3000 with the premise that it would be my normal, everyday card.
