If somebody sees that they are giving out huge limits, well they better prepare for a huge amount of applicants... They said they didnt advertise.. well, opening the flood gates aka putting up an apply link is all we need!

Cal,

I have used the 1-800-234-6377 number without issue and have been able to get good responses from all reps. If you read my last post in the Diners Club Limbo thread, you'll see that if the pattern of their security questions change, it will, or at least it seems, to point to approval or not.

No, they don't take phone apps.  Last month when I applied and got the error message, I called them and asked if I could do it over the phone (which is usually my preferred method of applying) but Diners' csr told me that they do not take applications over the phone.

It looks like those who want to app will have to wait until after Dec.1, which might be a good thing and make process easier since someone said that a csr told them thay are suspending app's until they can fix the bugs in the online app process.

Any idea how many applications they got? If I extrapolate from my card number, it has a lot of zeros ahead of the last four digits, the last of those four is a check digit for the entire string of 16, so it isn't over 600 Premier cards by my count. Elite would be similar, but with the higher fee, doubtful the count would be much higher.

If that is overwhelming, then they really weren't prepared at all.

They werent even close to being prepared.. but again, they didnt advertise it at all.. i think it was meant to be a "silent" launch.. basically saying "We'll launch some consumer cards, if we get some bites maybe we will expand into the consumer market again.. if not, no loss".. However.. thanks to the interwebs.. Myfico and other credit forums blew up the site causing mass delays.. lol its crazy when you think about it! We shut down an entire CC company from taking apps!

i did the samn darn thing.. I app'd on a Friday.. in the evening hours.. I should have app'd on a Monday! I did find out the following Tuesday, but still...I hate the waiting game lol
