@LipzyDaizy wrote:I called them a few days ago about getting my first two inquiries removed and they told me no can do. So I called again, faxed over my Experian report with both versions of my address highlighted and they still won't budge. Even asked why they sent my stuff addressed to the "unverifiable address" and they said they weren't sure but would have someone contact me about it in a few days... ggrrrrr!
I think I'm throwing in the towel with getting those two hp's removed.
Sorry they did that to you, hopefully someone will call and work to get it right.

So I got the call today from Diners and it's still a no go! The gentleman said I should have sent in the documents BEFORE applying the second time. I told him I tried to but was told I couldn't and he appolgized but still wouldn't budge. Then basically said if I didn't want the HP's, I shouldn't have applied....in the nicest way possible. Can't remember the whole convo because I started to really annoyed with the way he was speaking to me...like I was a child!! ugh! Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth!!!

Should have gotten his name and called back asking for a supervisor.
i'm really feeling bad the folks who had the app related issues, I can't see a company with their history and premium clientel would be handled in this manner. It's simple not a proper execution of business principles, well all I can say if the these situations are not quickly forgotten and of course the experience will be shared with others to give a glimpse into their Diner Club personalized experience.

I agree.
I'll be the first to admit that my Credit profile isn't the best. On the other hand I know it isn't the worst either and based on approvals that were posted, fell within the paramaters that were initially set for this card. I'm not bitter that they declined me, However I don't appreciate the fact that the denial letter basically had every possible reason one could be denied for (only one, possibly two reasons I may have been guilty of -- many years in the past.) Neither did I appreciate how unprofessional their setup is.
In this day and age how do you run a CC company the way they are doing it... One hand doesn't know what the other is doing and communication between departments might as well be nonexistent unless you call BMO Harris themselves, their parent company.

I'm still shocked they denied you. I still had 2 baddies on EX that are 3-4 years old and my income isn't very high yet I was approved after all the hurdles. To be completely honest, BMO has left an extremely sour taste in my mouth and I'm kinda wishing I never pulled the trigger on the second app. And with your amazing line up of cards I don't think you're missing much with Diner's.

I kinda have a feeling that I was denied moreso because it was one of the later "borderline/less than perfect credit" apps to be put through. If I had went ahead with it while it was still hot and fresh out of the oven. I might have just gotten in with a $10,000 SL.
I agree, I do have a pretty great collection of cards as it is. Diner's Club would have honestly been more of a trophy card than anything which would have likely wound up getting culled once I ceased to see benefit from it.
Finally received a letter, it looks like they don't like my tax liens (they listed other negative things that don't exist). I'll re-apply in a few months when they're gone.
