Re: Direction for New Credit

Until you clarified just now that the score was Vantage/Fako, we can only speculate since one can not have a FICO score until 6 months after 1st account reporting.

Re: Direction for New Credit

I don't wanna change the nature of this post but now I'm in question.

The fact that he is now an authorized user on an account that has been opened longer than 6 months and has current activity, wouldn't that constitute a fico score?

Re: Direction for New Credit

There's every need to speculate because the Quicksilver card is certainly not a starter/rebuilder card like the Quicksilver One, Platinum or CapOne secured cards.

Which have been always accurate for myself so that's what I'll go off for the time being

Again, there's no need to speculate what may or may not be on his credit file when I'm looking at his credit file as I type

THERE IS NO OTHER ACCOUNT ON HIS FILE
NO OTHER INQUIRY
NO HISTORY BESIDES THE ONE I PROVIDED

That is a very good question, sign your friend up for creditscore.com, it's free and provides monthly Experian FICO8 score and report, you will know if he has a FICO score when he logs in. Don't apply for anything else until his score has generated, most prime lenders would not approve, or not approve with favorable terms, without FICO, reason why Mr Michigan questioned how he was able to obtain QS without FICO.

Re: Direction for New Credit

Confirming, FICO score on Experian is 736

So adding an aged tradeline does give someone a FICO score
