Well, my 5th statement just cut and posted on my discover card and I thought to try for a Cli. I've read they can be approved anywhere after 90 days so I thought I had a shot. Unfortunately it was denied. I'm curious what the letter will say. I've definitely put spend on it, let balances report ect. My scores have gone up like 30-40 points too.
Oh well, might try again next month after 180 days. Either way I'm not too distraught, as my new Amex and (soon to have) Chase will be getting most of my spend now. I know I'm in the cash back match year, but I'm not too concerned with it. Maybe just for some random 5% purchase.
Starting Score: 580sHows the spend on the card? Disco was super stingy with me for over a year after my approval, but I didn't use the card much. Then I started to put more spend on it and they shot the locks off the wallet pretty quick. I wanted to see how much they valued the spend level, so I cut back spending on it pretty heavy, down to probably $1,000/month or so for a while. I tried for a CLI recently and was denied instantly.

My spend the past month or so has declined to be sure. However, still put about 300$ past month on a $500 limit. Before that I had to cycle my whole limit and PIF in the middle of a cycle to keep using it. Maybe $6-900 a month. That's why I thought I'd have a good chance because I was spending over the $500 first few months lol.
Also - it is a student card so maybe that makes a difference. My income is 55k, so I work full time and am in school.

Miss Disco is mysterious.
My first disco was 3k sl. at 9 months i requested a cli, DENIED.
then at 13 months i was playing around with prequals and just for the heck of it i did the disco prequal, approved for card #2 at 6k sl .
then at 14 months i asked for a cli on card #1 , approved, 1500, 3000 - 4500.
i put moderate monthly spend on card #1 and never paid in full, always kept a balance. espescially that first year with zero interest and 10 pct cb on cats. plus i did use the zero bt offer.

Yeah I use Disco as my balance reporting card as well. But as I've heard the words "monkey, and dartboard" in the same posts as Discover I'm not too bothered
Just gonna keep on keeping on and maybe they will throw a bone after 6 months or a year.
