Disco Prequal

Hit up disco pre approval and came back with this, didnt offer any 0% interest period or balance trasnfer offer but in fine print under it says 6 months for 10.99 on BT. Was wondering since no intro apr was offered is it safe to say if approved would be for a small limit?

That means you're barely squeezing in. Discover is unpredictable in terms of SL, so I'm hesitant to make correlation between poor approval terms and SL.

Wait a few months and try again.

Re: Disco Prequal

I guess it's possible they aren't currently running a 0% BT offer at the moment but it's hard to tell with Discover. At times, they can be very unpredictable.... their APR's seem to hover around the 20-25% range.

I received pre approval offer for 3 of their cards in March 2019, 25.24% APR and the 0% BT offer. I didn't apply at that time.

April 2019, one month later, I received the same offer except the APR was 23.24%. I applied and my starting line was $9500.  So, you just can never tell what you'll get.

Re: Disco Prequal

I barely squeezed in.  That's about the offer I had in prequal, if even that.  After being offered secured for several months, then being offered nothing for three months after I had another new credit card report, that offer finally popped up unsecured.  I was thankful they weren't just going back to a secured card offer.   I grabbed it.  It came back approved with $1,000 SL.

Open Credit Cards:
Green Dot Primor Secured (5/18) - $450 CL (CLOSED 2/2020)
Capital One Platinum (8/18) PC to Quicksilver (9/19) - $3800 CL

Merrick Bank DYL VISA - No AF (6/19) - $1400 CL
Discover it Cash Back (9/19) - $2800 CL
Amazon Prime Store Card (4/20) - $10,000 CL
NFCU cashRewards (4/20) - $4500 CL
BB&T Spectrum Cash Rewards (5/20) - $3500 CL
Navy Federal More Rewards American Express® Card (3/21) - $9700 SL - at 9.65 %.

Re: Disco Prequal

Discover is the strangest!
I started 12/17/18 with a $300 secured card. In July 2109 I was refunded the deposit and raised to $2,000.
December 18, I requested CLI and was denied. The very next day I applied for another Discover card and was instantly approved for $4,000 and zero interest on purchases and BT for 14 months. BT has to be initiated by 3/20/20.
Makes zero sense and reason denied was not enough experience at current limit.

Re: Disco Prequal

0% is being offered. Earlier today I got an approval offer for 0% - 18moBT/6moNP... then 19%. I'm tempted to break my "no new card for 2yrs" promise. Smiley Wink
