To: knowledgeable parties related to Discover CLI topic
Tomorrow (May 3) my Discover it Cash Back account ages to 91 days. They have cut two statements so far, and my cycle is on the 13th of the month. While of course I'm eager to, "Push the CLI request," button, I am certainly willing to wait, if there is data that supports better odds, with 91 days clear *and* 3 statements cut.
Previous statement balance was $15, pif on April 14. Current activity totals $220. CL is $7k. I suppose the follow-up question would be, should I pay the current balance to $0 prior to hitting the luv button?
Please advise!
FYI, recently read an article shortly after their earnings report that they were re-evaluating limits and cutting back CLI's.. I'd tread carefully these days. I'm sitting at a limit I'll never use, so I'm just sitting back watching personally.

91/3 does not apply.
AJC, thank you for confirming this. 24 hours and I'm hitting that button! How will I sleep tonight?

How did it go? I still cant get anything on my first card lol.
And knowing Disco, they'd probably give you a huge CL on a second card while denying CLI's on the first!!

OP mentioned in another thread that they got + $3k CLI (no DD). So no AJC special like us lol.
Go for it...Discover doesn't have any hardline cli rules, clock resets, or any weirdness. It's funny about the rumor they may be cutting limits. I got a $5100 boost this morning on my 1rst discover it I rarely use bringing it up to $26,000 & I also got a $3000 bump on my 5 month old 2nd discover it that is now up to $9000.
