Since when did this become a thing? I'm quite sure I've read about plenty of people reporting CLIs very early on with their accounts, certainly less than 1 year.
I was first told about this in April 2020. One rep said it has been in place since March, but I'm not sure about that. Were any of those reports from people with young accounts during this pandemic?
Definitely. Perhaps start thread in the approvals section and ask for anyone that's received a Discover CLI in 2020 that opened their account in 2020 to reply. I know just a week or so ago someone posted about a CLI following their 7th statement. I''m quite sure there are many more examples in the approvals section if you did some digging, but probably easier to just start a thread and let them come to you.

Just FYI - the Approvals forum would not be the suitable placement or location for this suggestion. Any CLI data points are typically tracked in the Applications subforum.
Good call on the location of a thread if he were to want to start one. In terms of him searching for the data he's interested in however, the approvals section would be the place to go.
@Anonymous
I've searched "Disco/Discover" "CLI" and only saw posts referring to CLIs on secured card graduation. I think that's one post you are referring to? Everyone else getting CLIs lately has accounts over one year. Happy to have a link to reference, as I could not find one.
The search function doesn't usually do justice. You'd be better off just scrolling through the pages. Are you looking for only self-initiated CLIs in the first year, or any CLIs (auto) in the first year?

Correct. Although both the Approvals and Applications subforums would likely yield those DPs.
If the OP optimizes the search function by Date, it should display the most recent and relevant results. Alternatively, OP can obtain more specific DPs (as you suggested) if they create a new thread specific to 2020 Discover CLIs (post March).

There's nothing. I'm afraid you're mistaken.
@Neutron wrote:My FICO score on Discover.com shows scores from 10/13 and 11/13. Nothing updated for 12/13 or at all this month. My scores have all increased substantially since 11/13. I went from 99% Util down to around 12%. When I check my reports I see that they SP TU and EQ on 12/3 and 12/10 respectively. So my question is if I hit the CLI button, will they use the outdated score that I see on their site when I check, or will they use the scores from their most recent SP according to my reports? I'm itching to hit that button! Please advise! Thanks.
The new one will already be in their system, they just aren't showing it to you yet
I was receiving a Discover CLI quote often before my last one in 3/20. I have not received a CLI since 3/20.
From my personal data points, Discover uses your credit score from the last one they pulled from you. They do not use an up to date one if your credit score changed from that date.
Example:
1/10 - Discover FICO score generated
1/15 - Experian indicates score increase of 10 points
1/17 - Discover CLI - Same score as 1/10. I tested this quite a few times and the letters I have received always have yielded the Discover monthly credit score.
