Good info!
Sorry about the CLI denial!! AJC is right about Discover. Not an easy code to crack, and they are particular on CLI.
That is a good amount of HP, even if they are no longer scorable. What else has your TU score lower than others?

Honestly I'd be 780-800 if not for a 30 day late from 3 years ago probably...

Its possible that late was also considered. While some lenders won't factor as much after 2 years, that's not always true.
Use your card consistently (a good portion of your limit) and you will get one eventually.
Pack of gum will no longer cut it with them.
If you feel like paying for CLI, Disco will frequently (no guarantees, of course) increase limit in the months following BT.

I have been, put 2500 on it last month for gas, and around 1800 the month before. I'm fine with doing a BT just... never have a balance to transfer lol... it takes too long to process unless they can just wire it to my bank account...

32 total inquiries 6 in last year (will be 4 next month), none in last 6mo on TU.
I've NEVER gotten a cash advance on anything, ever, like never.
5 new acc in last year, 1 was auto loan and paid off and closed already, 1 is a motorcycle loan, 3cc (2 are store cards) and all accs are 11 mo already (this wasn't one of the denial reasons on the last letter I got last month)
Last month they said: too many inquiries, balances too high (everything was paid off) and recent usage on accounts was too high or something like that.
I'm starting to think they're just strict on CLIs rn, DW can't get one on her it either with a near 800 score 1250SL and her apple got an auto to 4800 from 2k and her ulta went from 1250-1750 as well. Same for me, everyone but disco gave me a CLI... going to try next month when my recent Inq and new accounts drops down and see what they can come up with next time...
Score pulled 726 at time of request.
Honestly I think sometimes Credit card companies just put down a bunch of stuff for denials just for the sake of listing things whether it is right or wrong.

That's what I'm starting to think... next time just tell me: hey we don't wanna give you one, we don't like what you did with this card in the past and we think we have you too much and we're scared you're gonna ditch us🤣🤣
I stopped asking when they "told" me the truth, which was "use what you got"
Given the limit on my card relative to use, they are absolutely right
I wouldn't give myself a CLI.
Sometimes it's all about lender extending as much credit as they are comfortable with. Use doesn't help there, SD doesn't help, only time does.
Disco kept giving me the same "You're not giving us enough spend. " excuse for a while. I finally stuck a $5300 purchase through them and they gave a $7K increase that same month.
The 30 day and excessive inquiries are likely what's truly holding you back. If you've been using the card for anything that could be considered a cash equivalent, they evidently take notice of that as well (this is the first time I've seen the cash advance excuse used by Disco.). Discover likes being your daily driver and lately seems to require spend above what happens to be the 5% cats for the month.
