Discover CLI..how often?

Just got a CLI of $500 last night from $5500 to $6000 using the limit increase request button. TU score has increased 11 points over the last two months since getting the card. I use it maybe 4 times a month on small purchases. Is there a method to getting this CLI regularly? I thought I saw a thread about it a few months ago.

Not sure if there's a method, but many people claim Discover likes heavy usage and PIF, although carrying a balance appeals to them as well it seems ha.

There is no method to Discover CLI.  If you qualify you will be given.  If you need it, you can request one yourself so entirely up to you.

Ok thanks for the info. Guess I'll start hitting them up every couple of months until I can get the limit near some of my other cards. Right now I'm concentrating most of my spending on BCP and Quicksilver. Planning to request cli from Capital one next month.

Thrir parameters are 90-120 days. I was given an automatic cli at 4 months and the next one at 3 months.

My experience for CLI  has been every 3 months.  My last increase was 1000.00 and then 2 days later I requested an increase and they gave me another 500.00!  my Fico has jumped 65 points in 3 months!!

ive had a Discover It with $2k for about 3 years,  I rarely use it. I got auto CLI to $2200. Im so far away with this being a useful card, I could probably apply for another Discover card and get a better limit.

Same happend with C1. I got bumped like $250 on my Quicksilver, then turned around and picked up Venture card at $10,000.

Makes no sense to me.

Wow that is crazy, bump you 250.00 then give you a Venture card for 10,000.  Once I recover from my app spree in July, I'm going in for the second Venture card.  The one I have now SL was 7500.00.  My score wasn't as high as it will be when I apply for the next one.  I'll post when that happens.  But Discover gave me an increase after 3 months and my daughter had been charging a lot and it was at 50 percent.  Now I'm at 8 percent and making sure it hovers around that for the next three months and see if that make a difference in the CLI.  And my app spree has got my over all utilization under 10%👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.    Have you called Discover?  Is a rewards card?  Wow that is strange to keep,your CL so low.  You need some motivation, lol!!

its Cash Back. I signed up for the 5% for electronics/home improvement, and even then, with what we bought over the weekend was way more than the $1500 max. I haven't called em.
