No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
As others have said, take your time and wait a few months between requests. Did I do that when I first had my card? Nope. However, I know now it is the best strategy. Good luck to you.

Her statement cuts next Friday, February 2nd! I think we'll attempt during the weekend or monday morning.
**It will be her third statement cut
Sounds like you have a good plan. Once the statement posts, its usually okay to try the day after that. YMMV, but if your score has went up, then your in a better position. If it has not, its still not impossible, but it would be safe to say unlikely

Hi everyone,
Wanted to give an update. We pulled the trigger on the CLI on Saturday morning -Feb 3rd. Her 3rd statement closed on Feb 2nd so we decided we would give it a shot!
Unfortunately Discover said, “we are unable to provide you with a credit limit increase at this time.”
Bummer!!
Her income was 8.5K, assets 1K, $0 monthly rent.
Should we now wait until her 3 month anniversary (Feb 16th) or is that too soon to ask again? That would be 91 days.
I'd wait for the letter explaining the reason. There is a chance they deny the request because the account age is too short, since that's how I got denied before. I was denied for this reason even when my account was about 6 months old.
