Discover Card/ CHIP?

I noticed today when I logged onto the Discover site that the image of my card has a chip now. Has anyone recieved the card with chip? Does that mean they will be sending one out or does it have to be requested?

I have a chip card but I requested mine personally. It came in the mail yesterday.

My image did not change to the chip image until after I requested my new card, so maybe they're going ahead and starting to send out the replacement cards? Check in your Activate / Deactivate section to see if there's a new card showing up there. You can also call Discover to see if they're being preemptive

(I requested the standard blue card and don't like it as much as my old card. Maybe I'll get a different color soon. I miss the orange 'it' part, haha)

You can contact them via chat and they will send you the card with the chip.

I sent them a message requesting the Pittsburgh Penguins chip card and I received it in the mail 5 business days later. I would assume that they are sending yours out if it has already changed. I would send a message to be sure. Turn around time for messages is a day at most so they're pretty quick.

I think they all have chips now if approved or replaced.

Amex cards also now have chips, I had to have my sister's card replaced and was told it would have a chip.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.

I went to chat to order a Gerber Daisy card, and the chat agent's name was...you guessed it...Daisy. LOL

I will miss the orange edge, she said it doens't have that. If I don't like it, I can always switch later.

I requested mine thru chat also,,got the purple one like I had..I noticed it does still have the orange edge like the original....just my 2c's....
