Re: Discover - Denied for being unable to verify credit references...

Rmduhon- Regardless of the actual scores all of the information in the reports is the same as pulled when given a FICO score. Therefore there may be something in OP's EX report that is not in his/her Transunion report holding them back from getting the Discover Scorecard.

Also CK and CW are very useful tools to assess any new activity on your credit report free of charge Smiley Wink

I'm just letting the OP kniw that they aren't Fico scores, which it seems he's under the impression that they are.

I don't see anywhere that he or she mention anything about thinking they're FICO scores...

Look back a couple of posts. Rm the one right before the one I posted that you tried to correct.

OP. Look what youve started. Please call Discover---that's exactly the point---and find out what the problem is. Thanks.

ps. Dont forget to post.

Rm- I still am not seeing anywhere where the Original Poster wrote that he or she mentioned anything about FICO scores. Can you provide a quote from them? Maybe I'm blind, sorry.

Thanks!

Re: Discover - Denied for being unable to verify credit references...

Seems pretty clear the issue may be more of secondary identification more than anything.

They aren't seeing what they normally see with regard to one of the secondary sources ie Lexis-Nexis etc

Contact them and they disclose which hoop they want you to jump to have them feel more comfortable that you are a 'you' and not some scam or whatever

They'll likely want some form of ID
Car registration, Lease agreement,
Utility bill or some such gibberish

It's a pain but it happens, to a few 'lucky' folks....You're just the lottery winner this time, it won't always be 'you' but THIS you may just be the car pulled over for extra screening...Oh well
