Discover Graduation with CLI, Product Change...Next CLI Request?

Hi!  About 6 months ago, my secured Discover graduated to a Discover Chrome with a credit limit increase.  On the next billing cycle, I had the card converted to the Discover It.  How long do I need to wait before I can request a credit limit increase?  Is it at the 6 month mark or do I need to wait a year?  Thank you.

Congrats on your graduation.

You can apply any time you want and as often as you want.  I graduated back in February, though, and have not gotten a CLI... so good news is you can ask, bad news is you may get turned down.

But hopefully you'll have better luck than I have had!

Good luck!

@HappyGoLucky4U Congrats on your graduation!

I agree with the poster above. Feel free to request a cli at any time.

There have been some recent reports that Discover is not allowing cli on cards prior to 1 year. I think it started during covid. I can't confirm since I am not yet eligible for a cli. Your card would of course not be affected.

First, to mention for anybody who stumbles upon this thread from a google search or whatnot, you can product-change the card at any time after the first statement, whether it's still secured or not.

As others have said, you can apply for a CLI any time you like, but I would expect them to deny it until the card is one year old in total (starting with when it was opened as secured), and, formerly secured Discover cards are notorious for slow/no growth in CL.

Congrats on the graduation!
