It took me 2 times to tango with Discover...got appers anxiety on re-apping.. waited almost a year to reapply..
But I was coming from a thin clean file with a 740ish score... which had 1. SSL, 2. PLOC of 1K, 3, CU of 5K and a 1 mo Freedom...
really think in your case Discovers being the jealous girlfriend... All those new TLs and HPs in short order... Id wait 6 months or more...
If your not opposed to a *gasp* secured card, you could do that even earlier..
I have no regrets..
And It is definitely one of the stars in my wallet, esp with the CL.. Have no other card that even comes close to 16k in my wallet.. thats the other thing... many find that discover starts them lower and in 3+ months usually some movement... then it can sprout like a beanstalk for some, little slower for others, and then ... some stalled folks...

This is the biggest hurdle for most to get beyond when they finally see the approval come through after all of the work to get in the door. IT will grow with time! Some faster than others and once the ball gets rolling it's limitless. Stubbing your toe though with a BT tends to stall things out but, the payoff when it's paid off seems to be bigger than a normal CLI anyway. Disco is quirky about how they run things but, some of us love the chase and challenge they offer!
Keep in mind that Discover describes themselves as a "conservative lender." A manager and CSR at Discover both told me that Discover considers a customer "new" until they have had 18-24 months with their Discover card. Seriously.
They are difficult to predict so it is often best not to even try to predict any patterns. It's a stab in the dark most often. I did get both my Discover it and my Discover Miles on the first try, but they are unpredictable at best with CLI's. Keep trying, and others on the board have gone the secured route if you really want to get a Discover card. It's something to consider.
That's weird. I've been seeing the card pics in his sig since the thread started.
I can't get approved for unsecured and my Secured won't graduate. I am beginning to think my Ex bought Discover and she is just being mean.
