Hey all
After being in a 12 year marriage as a stay at home mom and getting divorced - at 37, I just applied for my own credit card after being on his for 12 years (and not having my own since I was 18!). Yikes. It's the little things, right?
I figured a secure card would be my best bet, and went through the application process with the Discover It Secured.
I got this: You're almost done! You passed our credit check... now choose your credit line" and I did so, and gave bank info. Now they are going to deposit the two small amounts.
This looked good to me? Is it possible to get denied after passing the credit check and proper bank info? I'm used to "on the spot" approval or denial, so wasn't sure if this was basically an approval or not at all and I still can be denied.
Just excited to see if I get this, it's been a long road.
Thanks all.
You're in. They won't do the checking account confirmation if you were being denied for credit reasons.
I really like the Discover IT secured -- really easy to use, accepted everywhere that matters to me, and so far I haven't had any issues. 2% cashback the first year (with the bonus) is awesome.
Thank you! Now if only I could ADD the two trial amounts they deposited. I go to the given link and get this after putting in my SS and zip. Ayyy.
