Discover It Student Auto CLIs?

So I got a Discover It as a student, my first non AU card actually. Started at $500 in March 2015, and every 6 months I recieved a $250 increase. Now it is at $1000. After every increase the CLI button on the website gives me a no luck 3-5 day message. Then a couple of months letter it says needs a hard pull to see if I can get a CLI.

Has anyone had a student version. And when did you get a decent CLI? My other cards are all in the $10k plus range.

My Discover It card (student version) is still at the starting limit, $500.  Meanwhile.. I've seen growth from my other cards..  Went from a $400 secured card with credit union to $6000,  etc. 

Discover is the lowest limit card I have right now.   Kinda disappointing, but I hope that someday they'll increase the limit.  I don't use it that often though, it's the one credit card I actually carry in my wallet though.  I've used it to pay doctor bills and stuff, and that's about it.
