This is indeed to case.. Discover has no rhyme or reason we all know that.. They approved people with 630's and decline people in the mid 700's. BK some people get approved and some don't... They might quite possibly be the hardest lender to figure out what they want.. Some people get approved with Derogs or CO's while others the only reason is an old CA or CO from 6 or 7 years ago..
Mr. or Mrs. Creditaddict, why not try simply not applying for anything for about 8 months until some of those older HPs fall off? Doing nothing is very helpful!

Oh my gosh.. That is the same response they gave me when I called to recon. Then finally after the third attempt I was told they dont do reconsiderations and to re apply at another time. I was beyond confused when they told me to call EQ to "recon my BK" lmao
I read that the EO is sometimes the way to go. A lot of people say EO doesnt recon but have read the EO approved someone.
On a side note, whats your AAOA? Because everytime you apply the thing that pops into my head is that your going to have such a thick file with all of those cards. Like your AAOA wont ever take a hit ![]()
Once we get on Discovers stubborn list i'm afraid it's for a lifetime.
I resigned myself to the fact that the 1400 SL on my own Discover card is it for good. Why? Because after 2 years of so many of their bank competitors who buried them in the dust long ago, they will never waste a HP of mine for a cheapo card. I'll just continue to use the 5% categories now and then and leave it at that.
the problem is customer service with discover ONCE a cardholder is great but they don't really recon and they tend to not just say it, they talk stupid instead so i get mad and fight with them and escalate and such... but they don't recon!
