Just had her apply from the prequal site and she indeed was approved. SL was only $500 but it's a start considering where we started last April with our BK discharge. How good is Discover with doing CLIs?
Tex, unfortunately my disco was IIB due to my bad habits of my ex. One yr after DC I get back with disco( 1k, and now is 3k) after another yr my second disco was approved with 10k cl. I am grateful for being able to get back with them and I always pay in full( I use AZEO). And btw congrats on aproval!

Disco is strange when it comes to CLIs. I would wait until at least 4 months and then ask but the link never goes away and some of us have gotten them monthly, some get denied asking every 6 months, and some get them more than once a month.
Put a lot of spend and a lot of payment. Since it’s 1% plus an additional 1% match for the first year, use Disco for everything, and pay in full and often and they will probably give you some nice growth. Mine started out at $7500, has a high balance of like $930, and went to $10,500 in December and $11,200 in January. I haven’t asked for anything this month because I’m fine with what I have.
As for APR, they will evaluate it if you call them once the promo APR is up.
Discover will entertain APR reductions AFTER the promo period ends... so if you have a promo period of say zero APR or a reduced APR you cannot get a APR reduction untill its over.... Also you dont get them out of the gate..... Give it time.. it may even be automatic post-promo period .. Discover actually set my rate post-0 promo lower than my approval.. AND I even asked for a reduction on top of that .....I was able to double dip oddly enough on the reduction.. (auto reduction + asking for a perm reduction)... then down the road quite a bit and eventually got a zero offer on new purchases when i asked about my offers...

They do automatic APR reductions?
My TU has gone from 647 to 690 in the almost year I have had my card so it would be nice to not go to 23.24% 6/27.
Yes they do.. In this case there was nothing said about it.. but the APR post initial promo period was LESS than the amount on the approval notice.. significently... I kinda got a highish APR on approval.. It was one thing i noticed post-0% period.... But yes they sometimes even give completely auto APR reductions... but those are a bit more rare.. Discovers more of the type If you want it you gotta ask....(Someone I know who still has a discover More card has gotten a few auto reductions in APR. but it is pretty much his Daily Driver... Also odd still is they havent converted it to an IT and until a recent bout of fraud .... untill then he also still had a Discover More card with raised numbers and a EMV chip.... Thought the MyFicos would find that interesting.. they offered him an IT but did not force upgrade him to it.. Though he frankly should at this point...
Still cursing my brother for not apping for a discover card esp when he got a lower than advertised rate on his preapproval.. I was like **bleep**...
Yeah i have yet to find a place on discovers website where APR is mentioned except on your statements...
Though it will be mentioned in the welcome kit with the card if i remember correctly...
Still i wouldn't sweat it..
Thanks for the info applied after getting a pre approval. They pulled EX starting limit 3000 had a chargeoff 9 years ago with Discover.
