Discover Pre-Qual Screen

I am fresh out of a Bankruptcy 7 Discharged the end of July. I have recently acquired a new car loan and 2 store CC's low limits of course. Is the Pre-qual screen reliable when it comes to Discover? I know i have read some posts where is pretty much says some as worthless. Any info is welcomed.

Discover prequalification is worthless! No matter what info you put in there it will give you a suggestion. Try citi, chase, american express, capital one. Good Luck!

The word around here is Discover pre-qual is not too trustworthy, however if you get a single apr and not a range (14-24%) then you are MORE LIKELY to be approved, however YMMV, good luck.

Yes like everyone said Discover is hit or miss. If it gives you a set or a small range of APR %'s then you may have a chance but it it give you the full range then its garbage LOL. Took me 4 applications to get in with Discover even after a several prequal letters with a small APR range.

Agree with above , with Discover seems YMMV. I know they often like clean thin files but am not sure if getting a Disco with BK7 so recent is possible. One never knows though, i would give it more time though. Best of luck on your rebuild
