Discover Preapproval before graduation

DH was preapproved for discover it cash and travel cards.However, she has not graduated from current $2000.00 secured card. Can she get approved? What happens to her secured card which is 14 months old? Her fico 8 TU 689, EX 676, Eq 659. Uti 1% Thanks in advance

You can have 2 discover cards. He can close the other one or wait for it to graduate.

Thanks Brian for the feedback. The interest rate was 22.9% and I'm sure he would love a second card.

Pulled the plug and applied for second card, instantly approved for $9500.00.
