Has anyone applied for the Discover secured card and had previously included them in bankruptcy? What were your results?

Since no one has replied to this thread, I will be the test dummy I applied and selected $500 to start out with. They are wanting me to verify two small deposits into my checking account. After I have verified this I will update. I did call the new accounts department and inquired if the application was approved and they said they are looking to approve it, whether or not that is accurate info is yet to be seen.

I will be interested in the result. Many years (decades) ago I think I messed up with Discover, though it does not show on any report. I am afraid to apply because of possible long memory repercussions!

Update: They have pulled my credit. They pulled Equifax. So far this looks like an approval. I believe if this was a denial, I would not have made it to the point of verifying my bank account. This is GREAT news. When I found out that Discover was allowing direct aplication for the secured card I was immediately interested. This will allow me to re-establish a relationship with Discover and increase my limit as time goes on to the max of $2500. I am stoked about this 'IN" with Discover.
I will continue to update this thread as steps take place until I have the card in my hand.

Thanks for the update xace! I didn't IIB discover, but I do have a BK on my CR. I applied for the regular IT and got declined due to BK and I've been toying with the idea of trying the secured. I think I will now. Thanks again
Sounds good. Let me know how it goes.
Is discover stil offering folks the secured card if they dont get approved for their regular card or is it always a separate app now?
