Discover Secured and IIB?

I was declined, not offered anything, then called in and still wasn't offered the option. I'm not sure if my credit was just that repulsive to them that they didn't offer, or if they just want people to reapply directly.

Just applied for the Secured IT and was declined. Bummer. I don't get it? It's funded by my own money, what do they have to lose???

Sorry to hear that. I will mention that my BK is 6+ years old. Your seems to be quite old also. I have no idea. That is weird to say the least. I suppose it is not a guaranteed thing. I am wondering at this moment how I was approved when I INCLUDED them? Did you include them? I may have fallen through a proverbiale crack. At this point I am not going to poke the bear, lol

Don't feel bad...I get the same response from Discover. I've tried in the past, got denied, and I finally got over the desire to have their card.  If ever I'm to have their card then they'll have to seek me via a pre-screened mail offer.  Maybe one day it'll happen, may not, but one thing is for sure, I'm done cold apping for their product.

I did get approved for some decent SL Cap1 cards, so I'm not hurting for rebuilding cards. I just wanted a foot in the door at discover.
Xace- I did not IIB them, in fact I've never even had a card with them! Makes it all the more mind boggling. Congrats on yours though!!

Deposit was taken out yesterday. Seems as though I am in. Will update when I have card in hand.

Received letter today stating they took my security deposit and will be receiving my card within 14 days of withdraw date.

Your BK is fairly old, perhaps you did have a shot for their unsecured CC, difficult to predict, Discover remains mystery to me (and to a lot more people who read/post here). Anyway, you DO have secured CC and one step at the time you'll be getting closer to unsecured card one day. Thanks for the updates and good luck!
