With all that you have done, you might have reached their "internal max limit" for your income (have you update it recently?)...11.1k isn't a bad limit to have....cause you seem to have done it all

Re: Discover-Tried everything for CLI, no dice

Sounds like you've tried all the tricks that are mentioned around here.  There was a fix applied at the end of March for the Secured CLI issue and since then the well has been pretty dry.  I was getting CLI's like clockwork for 6K/ea since August and since they fixed it there's been nothing.  It's been 4 months since the last approved one for me and I'll give it another shot on the 2nd anniversary 8/1 and then I'm done and will accept it will be at $48K for awhile and work on some of my other cards to see where they lead to while waiting for the Disco train to leave the station again.

I found playing hard to get with them worked best while on the train.  I started at $4500 and grew to $48K in a little over a year with minimal use ~6K/yr.  Just put a monthly bill like cable/netflix/hulu/cell on there and set it to autopay for the time being.  Eventually the flood gates will rise again and you'll be primed to get some money from them.

Just dtop using it and see how much longer they hold outSmiley Wink. You have other cards with higher limits so just use them. At 6 months, treat yourself to a pack of gum lol to keep card active. Perhaps when they see no usage youll get a We miss you heres a few g's to come back to usSmiley Wink

Re: Discover-Tried everything for CLI, no dice

I went from spending $1500+ a month on it and PIF to having about $40 autopaying from it for the last two plus months. Still no increase. After the third month doing this I will SD it and see what that does.

That's probably your answer.

Re: Discover-Tried everything for CLI, no dice

Last excuse they gave me was 'Insufficient experience at current credit limit". I laughed out loud at that... especially when between BTs and regular spend, I must have run more than 30K over the past year.. I am not mad or anything... Inrtigued is more like it, especially when i'd see folks of the Discover gravy train just milking it left and right..

Re: Discover-Tried everything for CLI, no dice

Have you considered trying to raise your limit with a HP?  I have not heard much on Discover HP CLIs on this forum, as the vast majority of them are of the SP variety.

I'm in the "playing hard to get" boat now with Discover.  I was giving them a consistent $2k/mo for the majority of the first 6 months I was with them while they were giving me monthly CLIs.  Once the CLIs stopped, I continued my spend a cycle or two and then completely moved my spend to other cards.  They now see a 2-digit spend from me per month and it's been that way for a while.  My first year is up with them in 3 weeks, so perhaps I'll get some love following my anniversary.

Re: Discover-Tried everything for CLI, no dice

I was hoping for some luv and my anniversary is up i think on the next statement...

Even the 500 consolation prize would work for me for a CLI.. though ideally id get something to round it to 18k...

My scores are even higher than when i apped...
