Yesterday I found the CLI button under Card Details, filled it out and got the 2 day message. Wondering how long before I know something?
When that event happens, usually within a day or two you'll see a nice CLI pops onto your account.
+1
I got 2 $500 instant CLI then on a recent request got the 1-2 message, logged in a few days later to see a $1,500 bump up.
I have read that a 2 day message is most likely a increase! I never get that message, they go straight to a NO, we'd like to see how you handle the 200.00 we gave you, 😂😂😂😂. Discover has become a big joke that is starting the new year off in the sock drawer, lol! I have concluded that it is something about my profile that doesn't set well with them and I'm good with that now!
Hopefully I will be congratulating you in 2 days!

This sounds pretty similar to me as well. I was able to get one $500 CLI to $7K, but that's it. Every time I speak to a CSR I get the same canned "We are a Conservative Lender" response. I plan on tossing it in the drawer and letting MyFico subscription just Autobill to it.

Given our score and portfolio, I'd say we are a pretty good risk, lol! Conservative or not, we have a say in this credit industry and my say is out of the wallet and into the sock drawer, lol! I have way too many great cards then to continued to be annoyed by them. Ready to explore Credit Unions now!

Lol I know, I wonder what Discover likes to see? Apparently the opposite of our portfolios I guess :-/. Let me know if you find anything good from CU's I think that's a good idea. I'd like a permanent low APR card and I think a CU would be the way to go since Barclay's hates me as well (keep getting denied for the Ring Card) :-D.
Both Roseyk and Jonfi have over $200k in available credit and scores below ~750. My experience with Discover is that they like to see usage. Spend $800 or more per month and pay in full. Request CLI online every 2-3 months and you should be able to get over $20k. But why do you need a big limit anyways with your huge credit portfolios? Just use discover whereever you get 5% rewards and use other cards elsewhere.

If you want a Discover CLI you should use the Discover card. If you put it in the SD, then you aren't showing them your charge and payment activity and they don't see a need to raise your limit.
And if you think Discover can't beat your other card offers, you should call up Discover and see if they have any 10% spend bonus offers for you, or 0% Purchase APR offers. They may not today, but asking for and using those types of offers lead to other similar offers, and reasons to use your Discover card.

BentTable I have used my Discover card monthly and have exceeded your recommended 800.00 per month usage, I have PIF and I have also left small balances, under 50.00. I have used the Bal. Transfer option, I have applied my cash back bonus to my account, never ever late with any account. I'm an excellent customer so I think, utilization at 4% debt to income 9%. And not having a 750 Fico score doesn't disqualify me from having a great portfolio. Beleive me, everything that I have acquired, has been earned.
