Discover it denied

I was going to call the recon number. How likely are they to over turn their decision? I'm really just wanting it as a rebuilder card so SL is not a big factor at this point. EQ/EX are 650's TU is 601. TU sucks.
I did the pre qualify. Said I pre qualified but was denied when I applied :-(

Discover is not known for reconsideration and anecdotal evidence on these forums backs it up. Also, Discover pre-qualifier will pre-qualify your dog, cat and goat, if you have it.

How about HSBC. they prequalified me too and I was denied also....

So sorry OP. I've been denied for Discover, too. Think it said, no recent payment activity. FICO was about 612.

On the plus side, I did get a free credit report out of it, which led me on my current disputes that have been quite lucrative. This time next year, I may tell Discover to kiss my patootie (or not!)

Known fact Discover does really have a pre qualifier site. Its a recommendation only. Sorry you found out the hard way. They are not really good at reconning. Sorry op. Let your Eq get about 670 and try again. (Bare Minimum)
