Called Discover today since it's been 6 months when it was last lowered to 15% and they approved the new one at 12.74%.
I wonder how far down the APR ladder Discover can go?
Also with the federal reserve bank surely to release more and more rate hikes it's probably a good idea for everyone to push their Prime Bank lenders provided that they do them like Discover, BofA, and some others do.
Rock On Discover!
excellent advice, couldnt have said it better myself. but good luck with AMEX though! lol
I don't do any Amex whatsoever aside from branded ones running on the network.
They were the only Lender who blew me off the past couple years so they can mail all those recent flood of preapprovals/offers straight to the city landfill from now on (didn't trust me so it works both ways) and that's exactly where they all end up without a single regret.
Chase doesn't do APR drops either so i got my 5% Freedom Card back to day in switching away from CSP and moved the whole limit.
That 5/24 popped in at the most inopportune time so that's that.
I don't play. I move on along and press ahead with plans that suit best.
Killed the AF on the spot too with the PC so it's all good.

I haven't gotten my first statement yet, that is why I was asking :-)
Did you login and selected 'recent activity'? It should say there 'Next Statement Closing Date', if you can't find it, then chat with them.
Thanks, I did that and I see it says statement closing date Jan 5th. Now will my payment today count? or the balance as of the 2nd when payment due be the balance?
Yes your payment will count today.

If your statement closing date is tomorrow, everything you pay today will count. The balance you have at the end of Jan 5th will be what will get reported. Some pending purchases showing today may be changed tomorrow and included in your final balance.
If my goal is to report a zero balance, I always find myself not using that specific card for 2-3 days leading up to the closing date as a pending transaction could post after the final payment of the cycle is made. This has happened to me a few times and as a result I've reported a balance when my goal was not to.
Is anybody tried buy Costco cash card from costco.com and get 5% cashback?
